Lightning Delay
Payments:
Due to the
weather pattern we are currently in, there is some concern that we
may burn through our association money before we get reimbursement
from the BCAA. We just need to make sure the Treasurer is giving a
bill to the BCAA so the BFOA gets reimbursed as soon as possible.
Last years payments, if you were not paid contact Larry Simpson,
so it can be tracked. Epstein made a motion that we enforce the
BCAA lightning delay policy for private schools as well. Second by
Bowen, all in favor, motion passed. A letter will be sent to all
private schools informing them of this procedure.
Curfew:
Games ending due (BCAA Curfew policy) curfew was reviewed.
Attendance
Issues & Suspensions:
Finneran (fourth consecutive absence – Suspended for first two
game assignments if he returns), Garcia (two consecutive absence –
Suspended one game assignment), McMahon (two consecutive absence –
Asked to appear in front of the board to explain due to
extenuating circumstances), Whipple (fourth consecutive absences –
Suspended for first two game assignments).
Banquet:
Plantation
Preserve on 11/15/09, will be a confirm/will not attend web
service available on the website soon.
Evaluations:
Davis
advised a couple of evaluations were turned in this (2nd
week of season) week. We need to remind white hats to complete
evaluations on other crews.
Grievances:
Epstein advised that Collura is investigating filing a grievance
in reference to a upcoming 7 man televised game and who is
assigned to it. Epstein will discuss with Collura if he wants to
continue with this action and Booking Commissioner Sager.
Recommendations:
Chairman Collura has received the FHSAA muster from Sager, he will
put all information together for a committee meeting as well as
make a presentation to the membership at the next meeting. Sager
has advised that the FHSAA muster list arrived incorrect and is in
the process of being fixed.
Training:
Baker advised that he and Winston are working on the new agenda
for this year and next year. Member Bruce Walker will do an
upcoming presentation. Next meeting with training committee they
will be discussing next years training agenda.
Timer Uniforms:
Epstein brought this up after evaluating a game this past week
where the timer was in full game uniform. There was a lengthy
discussion about this and what should the timer wear for games and
it was decided that for now we would leave it up to the White Hat
to decide what they wanted their timers to wear. We will address
it if need be in the future with a possible policy change.
Field Clinic:
Responses to the email sent out to the membership has been sparse.
Craven advised you have to start rolling with this in January
as the FHSAA does everything according to year. Taglienti advised
he would email Gary Pigott.
Certificate of
Deposit:
This was
discussed however, we will table till Simpson can explain options.
