BFOA Board Meeting – Minutes 10/20/08
Meeting took place at
South
Plantation High School
Start:
7:48 pm, Present: Craven, Taglienti, Baker, Gazzano, Bowen, Liese,
Davis, Sager Not Present: Winston, Getzoff
NEW BUSINESS:
Pete Walker was invited to explain a missed assignment in front of
the Board:
Tye Sager advised that he received a call from a rookie official
who advised the Referee didn’t show for his game, University
School vs. another school (middle school game). Pete Walker was
the Referee scheduled to work the game. Pete stated he emailed T.
Sager that he couldn’t make it for the game that day, there was an
emergency at work and he wasn’t able to leave. Tye stated that
Pete did his best to contact him, however he wasn’t available to
be contacted. G. Taglienti suggested a format for next year, for
example if you can’t reach the booking commissioner, T. Sager, you
are to contact X on your crew, so everyone knows and situations
like this can be avoided in the future. J. Craven asked T. Sager
to work on that for next year. The board decided to take NO action
against Pete Walker, however asked him to at least attempt a phone
call or call someone else on his crew in the future if he can’t
make contact with T. Sager.
