BFOA Board Meeting – Minutes
8/25/08
Meeting took place at
South
Plantation High School
Start:
7:30pm, Present: Craven, Taglienti, Baker, Gazzano, Bowen, Liese,
Davis, Getzoff Not Present : Winston, Sager

Invoice Received from ASP Promotions:
Bryan Baker received two invoices (total $825) from Roy Getzoff on
the shirts (BFOA Black Polo’s) that need to be paid. Bryan
suggested that we have to agree as a board with the vendor on the
amount of shirts or other items that are going to be purchased
before that actual sale. So we are not stuck with shirts or items
that members don’t want to pay for. This didn’t happen in this
case because Roy had members confirm via email their sizes and
amount of shirts, however Bryan doesn’t want it to be an issue in
the future. Motion was made by Davis to pay the invoices,
seconded by Bowen, all in favor, motion passed.
Flags for
Uniform Shirts:
Craven asked the board to purchase another 100 flags for the
shirts. Taglienti made a motion to purchase another 100 flags for
the shirts, seconded by Davis, all in favor, motion passed.
New Business:
Robert Silver
addressed the board on the upcoming BFOA Banquet at the Plantation
Preserve on November 16, 2008. The total cost will be $3200 and
it was decided that the spouses be charged $30. Taglienti made a
motion to charge a spouse $30, seconded by Bowen, 6 in favor, 1
opposed, motion passed.
Robert also
addressed the Global Games money from last year. If the money is
not going to be used for seven man mechanics this year he feels
the members should get the money back. Baker advised that there
was $700 from global games. Robert states that money was earmarked
for 7 man mechanic games for the 2008 season. Craven advised that
he will discuss with Tye Sager to let the AD’s and BCAA know that
we have the funds to pay for 5 games with 7 man mechanics with the
hope that the schools will select games they want 7 man crews that
they will also pay for as well.
